Hi I'm Daniel (designer) from Nextend. We discussed the Cobalt CCK topic with Roland and finally we decided that we try to add full support for our extensions. :) It's sure that the Smart Slider support the Cobalt CCK in the latest version, which is available in our site: http://www.nextendweb.com/smart-slider

I will buy smartslider but i would like to make a request if possible.

To automatically insert a record (insert the image, title and location) on the slider based on a specific Cobalt 8 field, is this possible ? It would be Cobalt Boolean field.

@stblink Here is a very raw document about the Slide Generator. It's not an official documentation, but I hope we can create a good documentation soon. In addition this is from our mailing just I create a PDF to show the features.

What do you think? Does a common user need more integration featured what we missed? You write a great feature that we should support (insert with boolean), hopefully we can integrate it on the next week.

Yes i agree that for most users, the ability to display featured would be nice.

The question here is that when we set a record featured, the record is already featured inside categories or sections. If this options would be available:

1 - show all records

2 - show only featured records

3 - show only non-featured (don't know exactly if it would have any advantage but i believe it would cover more options)

4 - by field condition

option 4 would be 3 dropdown that lists the section - type - field name and in front of it the value of the field that activates.

In my case it would be the Boolean Field, the value would be "yes".

I'm saying this because the C8 option to set featured, since it features the record inside the category that the user is browsing, allows an adittional "feature +" which allows the user to insert his record into the slider threw the form OR if the field is hidden only to admin, the admin can activate that field which automatically shows the record on the slider.

So if a record is featured, it shows up on the top of category/section and on the slider. But adding the field condition it separates the "featured used by cobalt" and the "featured goes into the slider".

Hope i made my self clear.

By the way, are you related to Offlajn Joomla extensions? The supported extensions, Accordion look and your logo reminds on them.

Me and Roland was the part of the Offlajn team. I'm the designer of those products too. Just a month ago, we quit and establish a new brand. This is the Nextend. Roland is the original author of the Accordion Menu and Smart Slider. So yes it's the same product.

In my opinion the best if you write the Offlajn team about the support. In real the Smart Slider and the Content Tabs run with the same engine, and we add the necessary codes for the Offlajn team, but I don't about the implementation.
