oloccina my client wanted a user friendly format to export his records lists, .json, .ini and .xml are formats that can be managed easily withj some online tool?

Export Cobalt? You can use formatters. If those plugins are installed and published just ad to url parameter formatter=json or ini or xml.

yes, I know that, but those format are not user friendly like csv, I mean that the average user would not know what to do with an xml file...I was wondering how to convert eg xml to csv, I found a bunch of online tools to do it online, but all of them don't seems to work welll with xml files generated by cobalt, they usually give back an error

if anyone knows a tool which works to convert cobalt xml to csv please post the link here

thank you!

Sergey I created CSV fomatter. Will upload it later today for you to test.

Finally ;-) :)

Some questions:

1.) What about access and security? I remember there was an older discussion about this issue. What if you have restricted content on the list or full-views... is it accessible for everyone who knows the URL?
2.) Maybe a dumb question... but is it possible to force a "download" or "save file as..."? The formatted content is displayed in the browser window. Confusing for some DAU's.
3.) Any chance to limit the field output? So, one can focus on the most important infos. And exclude secondary or internal stuff i.e. hits, catIDs, access etc.

For everyone who wants to migrate from Resources to Cobalt8. I was able to do that by exporting to CSV with JoomSuite Migrator and use Import function in Cobalt8.

I was able to export/import the following fields: Audio, Gallery, Text, Textarea, HTML, Image, Checkbox. Maybe i forgot one? Relation fields, Meta Keys and Meta Description i had to do manually.

Sergey can you add import for Meta Keys and Meta Description?

Only one security level is plugin access level.

Not easy. I'll have to save output into variable first. If add idea I'll try to add prameter.

You can combine this ideas togather.

Not now. May be later.
