On my test site it is the "default". At least, you have to setup a minimum hierarchy (depth level).

My setup is:

(Section1)

-> Category1

--> SubCategory1.1

Do you see all category levels? If no, check also template parameter "show empty categories".

Seems Cat-Index template parameter "Unfold All" -> NO/YES does not have any effect?! If I understand the description and function...

NO = collapsed / folded / closed (+)

YES = uncollapsed / unfolded / open (-)

Right?

PS: Does it keep its state per session?
