I know, Emerald is the first port of ME Membership to Joomla 2.5, and I am sure more features are on its way...

IMHO, its nessecary and crucial to integrate an invoice/bill feature. More or less the same functionality of ME Invoice.

Or does it still make sense to offer it as a seperate product or additional AddOn?

Recently, I had to study some competitors and their subscription solutions. Almost every product has such features build-in. So, I guess it will be a good reason to convince people to choose Emerald...

Often people just look on features, not the pricetag in the long run! Currently Emerald is CHEAPER than others, but i do miss invoice management and creation.

Other solutions with Invoice (& statistics) features build-in:

CBsubs by Joomlapolis

AEC by Valanx

PayPlans by Joomlaxi

Akeeba Subscriptions & ccInvoices integration

Thanks for listening.

@Sergej

I already found your answer on "Sioux"s invoice topic. Your answer makes sense for some applications, but what about local clubs like sports-clubs etc.? Usually, a fee is payed via "direct debit" or a money transfer by the user... there is no online payment provider. Often these members need a proof for the payment... some sort of "ackknowledgement". (as far as germany is concerned, you need such a proof for the tax agency)

It dos not make any sense to produce it as separate product any more. Obviously we will integrate it in to Emerald.

Before we did separate extension because different extensions could sare its functionality and there was no sense to make the same functionality twice. So our way was to create extension with could be utilized by other extensions. Thus we were trying reduce amount of code and increase delivery speed.

No we will have only this 2 extensions but we do not want it to bee less powerfull so statistic, invoice will go right into Emerald.

Is this in place now so if I buy Emerald 8 I will be able to send invoices to customers for their subscription payments?

Just heared of Akeeba Subscriptions that it uses chillcreation's **ccInvoices **. Maybe a solution and workaround for Cobalt?!
