We have almost anything as filter options in markup template -> filter:

  • Content types
  • Authors
  • Tags
  • Categories
  • Fields

But Rating is only available for sorting order. Is it possible to integrate and display Rating as filter, too?

IMHO, the results would have much stronger impact and precision than "sorting" the whole list.

Another sample use case without typical rating stars:

  • searching people with certain "skills"
  • searching product with a certain "strength"; technical spec

Hmmm, I am not sure. I think that order will always give you у desired result.

Otherwhise you can alsway create Skill radio filed from 1-5 and make it filter.

Sergey create Skill radio filed from 1-5 and make it filter.

Sure, alternatives are there. Even Digits field with Range slider as filter...
Original Rating field would make Cobalt filter more complete, IMHO. Also like the easy interactive input style and visual appearance.

Ordering gives only a complete list view with ALL records. You can't focus on a certain rating (or maybe a certain Total).

Yes, right. I did not get it first time. Rating filter would be nice. To get only articles of high rating. Thank you for idea. Genius as usual.

Sergey To get only articles of high rating.

Exactly.

Or a specific rating. Or a range.
Not sure how to deal with multi-ratings. Just search for total? Or even separately?

Maybe different filter variants and styles are possible!?

Thank you for idea. Genius as usual.

:) Thanks to YOU!
