How can we edit an article without a title? The edit menu is not accessible, or if it shows on an empty title column, the "edit" button can not be reached.

What template you are using?

I can use default or table, it is the same issue.

Your controls appear when you hover over the title area.

The moment i move to the "edit" link the menu disapears since I am outside of the "No Title" column. I can never reach the dropdown menu.

If there is no title, there should also be no empty title column.

Maybe better to put the controls 1 level higher in the markup/hierarchy? I mean, in the surrounding container. This would be more flexible, if someone wants to position it in another corner (by CSS/absolute or floating).

It is table. Contorls are in <td>. i cannot move it to <tr> because it only contain <td>s.

Exactly those 2 temp[lates table style. In other templates controls appear when you hover whole article. Here I can only place it in <td> of the title. If tere is no title, there is no title td. I think there are 2 ways.

  1. I can check and if titles are off, add controls to somewhere elce. But where?
  2. You can move controls to another table cell.

actually there is ... see the first screenshots above ... you can see the empty column on the left side.

No need to come up with a solution now. I just wanted to report it, to start thinking of alternatives for list views ... like right mouse, click etc etc ...

I like the way yahoo mail is using the hover menu.

I will try to research for alternative approaches.

Make a screenshot. I do not want to create Yahoo mail account to see that menu.

Sackgesicht like right mouse, click etc etc ...

Right click might be a solution too. But not sure how that would work on touch devices.
