How about an additional folder format : YYYY/MM/DD?

Individual folder for Year, Month and Day would have some advantages like better backup/synchronization, easier symlink etc ....

Technicaly it is possible but this modification will lose compatibility with how it works now. I could consider this for Cobalt 9, but unfortunately cannot change it in current version.

No problem ... It is just a suggestion for a better organization when using a bigger number of uploads over a longer period of time.

I can see how that type of file organization can benefit your project. I would do it if it would be possible without problems.
