If section parameter "Show records at section homepage" is set to "Show any record in the section" it will displays all records, wherein it should only display records for the access level of current user.

For the fix, it should be considered that a record can belong to several categories ...

Correction ... it is actually working. I forgot to disable the access field in the submission form. Now it assigns the category.. BUT the problem is there now with multiple categories. If i assign the record to multiple categories, it only uses 1 category as access

It cant be that one record assign to few categories with different access levels. It always use first category access setting, so all access settings must be same.

Since Cobalt supports multiple categories at submission time, it should also support the access levels, otherwise the user has to create the record several times (which would contradict the multi category feature)

Is there a way to solve this?

Next problem -- when clicking on the TITLE to open the full view, it gives an error "This section is currently offline. Please, check back later."

I would never have worked that out on my own. I agree this needs to be explained in the parameter tooltip. It's a good feature.

Randall,

depending on what you want to achieve, there might even be a different setup on this now, without using the "Inherits category access level".

Some changes were made to it in the meantime.

V8.317 still has some problems with this function. I believe the next version (>V8.321) on thursday will address it and even provide an improved solution.

So if you intend to use it, i would suggest to wait for the next release.
