For your first video, please look into console what JS errors are ther.

For your second video you have to know that Cobalt can manage article only on fontend. Even if you are in backend, when you edit article it is opened in modal in frontend. So make sure you are logged in at frontend as administrator too. Or better manager articles completely from frontend.
