In date field I use override record expire time option. The date field use mm/dd/yyyy format. If the date for example 07/12/2016 in the field the expire time will be 2016-12-07. The function change the month and day in expire time.
If the input format is dd/mm/yyy everything works fine. (I use latest datetime field version 8.117)
