Hi,

How do I remove the section name from the page title?

I've turned it off in section settings yet it still appears.

Thanks

grindstone How do I remove the section name from the page title

Browser page title Or Page Header (inside content) ?

I've turned it off in section settings yet it still appears.

Cobalt titles parameter in section Markup template affect the "page header".

cob_section_markup_template_title

Setting section and category options to NO has no effect. Set parameter Show Title to No Title.

@Sergey

Noticed some issues with title parameters:

  • Option Menu Parameter Title does not work. Nothing is displayed.
    cob_section_markup_template_title_menuparam

  • In general, shouldn't it set the Browser Page Title as well?
If Browser Page Title is set, then the two following name parameters should hide the "Page Header" with NO. Currently, setting both options to NO has no effect.

Exactly. I set both options to NO and page title still appears.

grindstone Can this be fixed ASAP?

Maybe it was a "feature" and on purpose. Can't remember, when those options has been added. Maybe they are meant to be "options" for the first selectbox... Somehow, I would expect them to hide both parts if set to "NO" ;)

Until clarification, just choose NO TITLE in first selectbox. At least, that option works!

Strange. Just noticed that the 2 options "No Title" and "Menu Parameter Title" are simply interchanged!

So, currently No Title shows the title from your menu parameter and vice-versa :D

Did you created any markup custom template?

Yes, I tried disabling them all but no change. What part of the template is repsonsible for adding these to the title?

What so the section title is forced into the browser title with no way to change it?

Content is the section name, it absolutely has to be removed. Where's the code in your component that sets this? I'll have to hack the component.

It is in many places. It is generated based on condition. For example we have personolised sections and we are in home pages of different users, then title have to be different. Otherwhise when you see title when type URL you do not know the difference.

FOr example you say that section name have not to be there. But then title may be the same in different sections.

This is complicated issue it also affects PR of the page.

But you can hack it in views/records/view.html.php.
