hi

is there any facility in cobalt 8 like a user(e.g. john) follows another user(e.g. ben)

if ben creates new record john recieve a mail notification

Yes.

When you are on the user homepage you have subscribe user button

And then as usual. You get notifications whn new articles are added by this user. And if email alert cron is configured and user have set to receive emails, there are emails too.
