I just imported 558 records into the database of a new Joomle/Cobolt8 website and my home page went blank.

I am using the records module on the bottom of home page with the map template – so the Google map shows all the records from different countries around the world.

When I switched on error reporting I saw the error below:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/xxxxx/xxxxxx.com/components/com_cobalt/fields/geo/tmpl/output/default.php on line 71

I increased the memory size in the php.ini file to 512 but it made no difference.

If I unpublish the module the front page works ok.

I also have an inner page which is the default records list page and it also uses the Google map template – it works just fine.

What could be the problem with the module Google map?

Thanks for your help.

Try to turn geo field off the article list.

And check template parameters in records module that field is indicated correctly.

Sergey Try to turn geo field off the article list.

I'm not sure what you mean. The geo field is not required to show for each record in list view (it shows only in full view), only the Google map shows at the top of the list.

Sergey And check template parameters in records module that field is indicated correctly

The field is indicated correctly and it was working with the 8 test records I submitted when making the site. Only after I added the extra 558 records did the error happen. I just checked it again and and it is correct.

What is articles perpage limit in parameters? make it 1 anyway.

The records per page was 20 in ‘Template overwrite’ > ‘map’ but the setting “Show list of records under the map” was set to “Do not show anything”

But I found the problem. In module parameters > ‘General’ – is the setting called ‘Limit’ (found under ‘Template overwrite”). I set it to 2000 because there is no explanation what it is for and I thought it sets the maximum number of places in the map. When I set it to 1 it worked ok. What is this parameter for?
