Maybe I missed it but in Section Home Order there are many ways to order the Calendar list view but how do I order it by date of event?

By this I mean to make the list show from the current date forwards?

I think this is very important for a calendar list of events. The visitor needs to know what’s coming up in the future by date order.

But expired records are shown in special section not in the list of other articles.

Please excuse my ignorance but do I create a separate section for expired records and if so how do I get those records to show in the section? At the moment a logged in user cannot see his expired records in his records list.

Thanks for your help

But it should also show a row of "tabs" with all the other "views". i.e. bookmarked, favourited, watched etc.

Actually no. bookmarked, favourited, watched are the public lists. It is what other users can see. They can see your bookmarks and views. But they cannot see your expired or waiting for approval, expired or hidden, Those are private lists. That is why there are no tabs. There is little arrow for private lists

At all? You mean there is no expired records menu element.

Private or not. There seems to be no difference with Personalization ON/OFF. If I am logged in, i can see all MY tabs, right?

BTW, the LITTLE ARROW is totally confusing: I always thought it is a minimized/collapsed tab representation. The space is limited in Protostar, if there is a sidebar displayed.

1.) Arrow + Tabs: Why does it switch to this mixed display style at all?

2.) Why not keep the MYMENU in the bar? I miss it.

Cobalt DEMO page:

I tried it also on demo page. There is a difference in CALENDAR compared to FORUM, GALLERY. If this behavior is bound to the personalization feature, than there is something wrong. The Calendar section MYMENU disappears, Although everything menu related is turned ON in markup template. I think this is confusing for the AUTHOR.

  • At least the MYMENU in the toolbar should be available.
  • The little arrow "extra menu" has to be rethought.

That’s right. I’ve attached a screenshot. On the left is the admin area showing that user Billy has published as well as expired records. On the right is the front view showing Billy logged in and looking at ‘My Menu’.

This is strange but Expired user menu was turned off in markaup template parameters on Section Menu tab.

Sorry that's one place I didn't think to look. I must have turned it off a while a go.

Thought, you already have read my older comment: ;-)

2.) Section -> General -> Templates -> Markup (edit template) -> Tab Section Menu -> User Menu. By default this should be turned ON. And also have all "User Menu" options turned ON. One of them is "Expired"...

3 weeks ago ability to edit expired records did not work:

Today when I started working on it again I found the list view is working fine but article view says “This record is not yet published”.

One week later kudinov said it's fixed.

Today when I started working on it again I found the list view is working fine but article view says “This record is not yet published”.

Fixed.

Now it is back to the same as before - article view says “This record is not yet published”??

That’s because they are not yet expired.

You can log in as Billy (see private posting below for login details) and go to 'Expired' in 'My menu' then click any expired record in the calendar.

That because "Who can see expired articles" was Special.

But Billy is 'special' and should be able to see his own expired records... but he can't.

Hi kudinov.k

Special or not , the problem is Billy should be able to edit all his expired records but he cannot.

I am using the Cobolt calendar and a user should be able to edit his expired calendar event and change the date so that he can create a new event from the old one.

When I login like Billy, I can edit my own records. I can't find any problem. Can you give detailed description how can I reproduce this error.

That because "Who can see expired articles" was Special.

Author is not special by default, he is registered and just owner.
