There is no inbox/message product by MintJoomla. AFAIK, there are no plans to transfer it to J25/J3.

Alternative and free:

Can be used standalone, or you can integrate it with Cobalt templates:

If you are a CB CommunityBuilder user, uddeIM integrates very well with it.

The uddeIM templates could/should get a visual overhaul though.
