How to update to latest Cobalt (and fields) version?

Sorry if it's too easy, but not clear for me.
Do I just install newest version of Cobalt core on top of existing one?
I'm asking because I've tested and now the "About" tab shows "Installed fields" duplicates.
For example:
Boolean 8.41
then
Cobalt-Field-Boolean 8.50

So, does it mean I have each field twice?

Absolutely

I am not sure why. But surely you have only one phisical version of the files.

Err... it might be some unimportant thing, but I looked better - and Joomla "extension manager" does show duplicates, as per Duplicate_fields

I assume old fields versions can be uninstalled.

That is probably the reason.Somehow Joomla doubled it and Cobalt about just use Joomla table to list the data.
