I wanted to try out the packer/import features of Cobalt to migrate existing Cobalt content onto a fresh install: 1. New installation, latest Joomla 2. Installed latest Cobalt and Media 3. Tried adding Cobalt menu 4. Received following error. Same error adding any Cobalt menu. Standard menu works properly.

418 Unused The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request

Is this a bug or do I need to perform some basic config before importing the Cobalt package i have created on my existing site?

Thanks, Randall.

Did you try to use CObalt 8 on Joomla 2.5?

No, I'm trying with Joomla 3.3.6 and Cobalt 8

Sounds more like a server issue. Maybe related to a security setting or exceeding any limits.

I agree, sounds like missconfiguration of server or Joomla.

I get this error as soon as I click "Import from CSV or JSON" when trying to add the menu for the Import feature of Cobalt. php error.log shows the following: ... ModSecurity: Access denied with code 418 (phase 2). Matched phrase "curl" at ARGS:jform[type]. [file "/dh/apache2/template/etc/mod_sec2/99_dreamhost_rules.conf"] ...

I am about to log a Dreamhost support ticket and would like to give them as much information as possible. Is there any particular requirement to run the Import feature?

Thanks. Randall.

I am not sure, becuase mod security. This depends on how it is configured. Looks like it found curl keyword somewheer and try to protect by denying. But I am not good at it. Just my thoughts. Most probably wrong.

There is nothing like this in cobal. We only encode URLs with base64. If one of the URLs contain curl keyword we cannot change that. Just follow their recommendation and turn that off.
