Can I use an Emerald subscription to grant access to 1 article which is in a category already limited by another subscription?

Hello, well, the title say it all but let me add some more context to the question

I have a category limited by subscription A but I'd to offer to my users the possibility to buy individual articles from this category, if they do not want to pay the monthly fee to access the whole category

So if I create a subscription B to limit only one article in this category, a user who buys it can access it even if he doesn't have subscription A?

p.s. yes, I know I could limit "uses" of a subscription to allow open just one article, but that's not practictal in my case
