I thought about setting up 2 subscriptions:

1 - FREE TRIAL - gives access to the contents for x days, then expires. User can buy only 1 time. 2 - PAID SUBSCRIPTION

the problem I see with this is that a user could just register a new user each time to continuously get a new free trial... does EMerald also checks the user IP address in order to identify the user?

Thank you

No. emerald does not check IP because Emerald does not manage user registrations. I think that should be feature of registration extension to prevent double accounts.

I do not think that will happen a lot. And even if we add IP protection, users will start to use anonimizers to create accounts. It is unpreventable. Once I have Netflix account for a year and then canceled. After Stranger Things was released, I urgently needed access for a week. So I created new account with one month trial. Nothing could stop me do that. So, even Netflix is not protected :)

:) yeah, I see what you mean, a skilled user will not be stopped no matter what... fortunately my users are in general quite honest

Thank you
