autocomplete field: is it possible to display in list view only x number of values?

I was wondering if it is possible to display in list view only x number of values, eg the user select 10 values, but in list view I display

"value1, value2, value3, (...)"

or even

"value1, value2, value3, and x others"

where x is the total number of the values selected by the user
