I really don't know why this topic is ignored. I mean, may be you have no solution. That would be alright. But absolutely no reaction?

I greatly apologise for. Somehow topic was not marked to follow and I have lost track of it.

There is only one reason that can lead to this error. PHP does not have enough permissions to write to com_cobalt/views/record/tmpl/ to create configuration file with store template configs.

Solutions

  1. create com_cobalt/views/record/tmpl/default_comments_default.json with write access

  2. give write access for (com_cobalt/views/record/tmpl/) or enable FTP layer and reset users to FTP user.

No problem! :) I thought it would be kind of something like that, because the support is always(!) great. Thanks for the quick answer after reminding you of this topic. I will try the fix asap.

I added 755 rights to the /views/record/tmpl folder and to all the .json files in the same folder. Then I saved the templates again. Still the same problem.

DO you see your comment json file in the folder? Or it is not there?

I see the default one:

default_comments_default.json

and the one that is called like my newly created template which I set as default:

default_comments_kommentare.json

Only when the "default template" is set to "default" (sounds confusing), the error doesn't show. When I create an own template by copying the default one via backend and set is as default the error shows up. Do you understand what I mean?

Yes I understand. Do you save settings of newly created template? I suppose you do. Then you have to check this file permissions that it has read access.

I did. The error was still there. Then I set all related files fo CHMOD 755, saved again. The error is still there.

Hello,

Please provide us with ftp access.

Okay, thank you :) It is only access to the cobalt directory, but that should do it I think.
