Helllo, does the notifications have any events, hooks for custom programming?

Is there any documentation on it?

Sure! You reminded me what I wanted to do with Disqus adapter. I inserted there callback for new comment. And yes after new update on Thursday DISQUS adapter will trigger new comment event.
