Hi,

We are planning to develop a website with integration between Cobalt and Emerald on a Joomla 3.xx website, however, we would like to get the confirmation if what we are trying to do is possible.

We are creating a software download website where developers will be able to add their software, as far as open source is concerned, some developers might provide these software for free download, others for fix one time payment and others on subscriptions.

Hence, we would like to create the software download system using Cobalt and use Emerald to control access to these software either they are free, fix with one time payment or subscriptions with renewal options.

However, our main concern is, is it possible with Emerald that frontend users (developers) can create their own subscription plans on the frontend and assign such subscription to a specific record in Cobalt?

We want the system to be automatic so that the admin does not have to create plans for developers and also for developers to receive payments directly on their own account without the need for admin to receive money on a master account and then need to transfer back their money to each developer.

Are these main requirements possible with Cobalt and Emerald at this time please?

That is exactly our next step for Emerald 10 and Cobalt 9. Everything is ready for that. Emerald require just little of changes and some cobal fields too.

So, right now it is not possible. Developers will not be able to create their own subscriptions. But we do plan to add this features.

Unfortunately not very soon.

This can wait, it is not an urgent project, we have about two websites to work out and finish before we'll be starting to work on this one, this might take few months, therefore, I guess, everything should be ready just together with us :)

Hi has this feature now been incorporated in Cobalt and Emerald? I need to create a simillar site. Either by creating a emerald plan for each cobalt item created using the fields from the cobalt item or by creating a cobalt item for each emerald plan created.
