I am currently working on a project using Cobalt 8 for a Joomla-based website, and I have run into an issue with custom fields not displaying as expected. I have set up several custom fields for a content type mostly text fields and select lists—but when I add or edit content, some of the fields do not show up on the frontend. Instead; the page either skips those fields entirely or displays placeholder text like "Undefined."
I have made sure the fields are published; visible on the form, and assigned to the correct templates.
Both Joomla and browser cache have been cleared multiple times, with no change.
I am not using any template overrides that could be interfering. Everything is based on the default templates.
I re-saved the section, content type, and fields to ensure all settings are updated.
Despite these efforts, the problem persists. Has anyone encountered a similar issue with Cobalt 8? Could it be related to a recent update, or am I missing something simple in the configuration? I’m considering reinstalling the component, but I’d rather avoid that unless necessary.
