Hi,

if I use built in comments I can insert which editor I will use for comments. Since JCE has editor profiles I'm asking if it's possible to insert specific editor profile in this input? If I insert "jce" it shows default editor.

Regards

Hello klox7,
Good point. AFAIK everything related to editor profiles is handeled by JCE. So, if you attach a certain user or usergroup to a JCE profile it should work...

Cobalt loads the editor as suggested by the field type "plugin".

Field type "editor" seems to be deprecated since J25. Although this field type supported optional parameters. There was a related topic in JCE support forum, and the author (Ryan) mentioned that there is no way to pass options with the field/call. He suggested to use the profiles configuration and to set proper restrictions i.e. for component, admin/site view, user(s), usergroups.

Hahaha :) Also found my own related topic. incl. a comment from veber. Is it you, klox7? ;)

Did you test it with different users or groups?

Hi pepperstreet,

yes that's me:). I already configured plugin parameters but if only there would be option to assign editor to different menu items. Then the whole new world opens. :)

This is good idea y the way how to use profiles, from perspective of JCE.

Please, make a request on JCE support forum. I guess, Ryan could implement it fairly easy.
