URL Field problem?

i inserted www.website.com on the url field, this is how it displays on record full view:

http://localhost/portal_principal/index.php?option=com_cobalt& ;task=field.call&func=_redirect&field_id=538&record_id=12&url=www.website.com Hits 0

Well... yes http:// is required.

In my case the records will be approved manually, but i believe it would be nice that the field URL could have something similar to SOBIPRO url field, which is prefix for URL.

Label: url_prefix(dropdown to choose http://, https:// or ftp://) url(text field)

If url has value, url_prefix must be required.

because most users just forget the "http://". They are used to mywebsite.com and not "http;//mywebsite.com"

IT ADDS HTTP:// automatically in my case. And it validates for http:// in url as well. So it actualy have to be impossible to submit URL without HTTP

strange, i inserted first without http and it did not fetch the correct url because the link was "c:\xamp\htdocs\principal\www.website.com"

after inserting http:// before url, it was correctly displayed and the link worked ok.

Ok i found out why the http was not beeing inserted. If i deactivate "allow enter label" the http:// is not added.
