The title says all. Is it possible to do something like that? The on-site notifications are not enough for my demands.

I've found the option unter "Edit Section > Events" but it doesn't seem to work for me. It is checked, but the system doesn't send E-Mails. Although Joomla-related mails are sent correctly (e.g. on registration of a new user).

P.S.: Like the new stable version and thinking about a subscription in the coming week :)

As I mentioned, that email param works (or should work) as default only. It is behaviour to send emails alerts until user have edited this params. If it works differently that we just have to change it.

Anyway, even if this is a default, there seems to be no option to hide this particular option in the modal window, right?

Yes you cannot hide. You cannot hide rights to switch emails off. If you want to hide, turn off notifications in the section. But as far as notifications are turned on user will have possibility to chose how notifications have to be delivered. Doesn't this make sense?.

  1. Email Alerts. What if there are no Email alerts send at all. And the "DAU" does set his options to get Emails. He wonders why he does not get any mails. Did you get the idea?

User option override any other option. So if user set to receive alert h will despite any other parameter.
