Error

Hi community,

sadly I have a big problem using gallery field in cobalt 8. After I pushed the button "add files", cobalt says error and it is not possible to save the images. Sadly the error message ist not described in detail.

I struggled against this error for a while and tried the following things: 1. Reinstalled joomla, cobalt 2. Checked permissions for writing in folders 3. Updated all plugins / cobalt 4. Testet Firefox / Opera 5. Test upload parameters (Flash, turned off auto upload)

...nothing helped....

I use cobalt 8.752, cobalt-field-gallery 8.86 with joomla 3.9.3 and php 7.2.15. Rly strange - image-field including upload images works fine.

I look forward to your help. Don't hesitate to ask further questions about this topic.

Cheers Ben

Have you tried HTML5 or HTML4 as Upload method?

I am running also apache and HTML5 method works without problem.

Hi,

I tested it again. HTML4 and HTML5. Both upload methods leads to the same error. It is possible to turn on a debug mode? I have no idea what is wrong.

Thx for ur help. (guest login to my page for reproducing the error is also possible...)

Ben

It might be not an error but it is return from XHR request on network tab.

Hi,

I checked XHR request on network tab.

It returns that:

JSON
id jsc9rr9m name 2018_DamenI_Complete.jpg size 101400 error 1 finish false upload_name 1550566800_f9667b54d190457c8fa02b82fffe56d9.jpg add 282172-101400

Maybe some other responses helps for trouble shooting? I am rly sad that gallery field does not work for me :-/

Thank you

Ben

What is size of uploading image and what you have set to max allowed file size?

File size is around 500 kb. Maximum file size is set to 2 Mb. However, I testet to upload a 2.5 Mb file. Cobalt says that file ist to big in this case. I mentioned at the beginning of my install, cobald sth like "...file have unallowed extension". Now it says just "1". However, some users had the same problem as you can see here:

http://www.mintjoomla.com/support/community-forum/user-item/85-clowride/48-cobalt-8/7987-files-have-unallowed-extensions.html

There are any bugfixin ideas open?

Thank you!

See if you have 777 permision on Uploads folder in your Joomla root. And also for cache and tmp.

Create admin account for me and I'll test it. But five me access to edit files. You can install some sort of file manager into Joomla.

Verify that the directory where the images Watermelon Game are being uploaded has the correct permissions. Incorrect permissions might prevent the server from writing files to that directory.
