Hello,

I'm trying to set up a site with about 15-30 products.

All of these products will belong to one category, and only one.

A lot of these products will have multiple areas of use. Some suit only private homes. Others will fit both with private homes but also small office buildings. So one product will have at least on area of use, but can also have several areas of use.

I need to navigate and find the correct product through both routs.

1: I will start by picking a category of products and as a possible (not needed) step two I should be able to filter out the products fitting to the selected area of use.

2: I will start by selecting the area of use and as a possible (not needed) step two I should be able to filter out the products fitting to the product category.

Examples of product categories (product will only have one category): - heater - aircondition - ventilation

Examples of areas of use (product will have at least one area of use, but often it will have several): - private homes - small offices - big offices

Is this a case that could be solved with Cobalt? Without needing to be a very advanced user?

Yes it is easy

  1. Creaet checkbox field areas of use and enable it as filter and eneable filter link
  2. In section filter mode set to Any section article

YOu will be able to navigate throug categories butr as soon as filter is applied, user will see all products of that area of use in all categories.
