textarea field: recognizes links automatically?

For what?

It may recognize HTML. If you want to protect from inserting tag, just add it to black list of tags.

I want a textarea field without BBcode enabled and without BBcode menu, but I still want links to be clickable if any has been inserted by the user, hope now it's more clear

and I don't want users to have to insert html code in order for links to work, it should be enought o insert http://somesite.com

You can use markdown. it supports something like this

thank you, no I just wanted the possibility for links to be recognized automatically, without the user having to enter any special code or sintax... i guess I'll customize thebbcode editor then leaving only the "links" button
