Is it possible to see the records in a tree view or similar?

I miss the possibility of seeing the hierarchy that records are laid out in

Do you mean a list layout or a menu for navigation?

Yeah I was thinking about a list layout in the admin, when you select Components > Cobalt > Records they are all shown together, making it difficult to determine the structure in which the articles are organized.

A filtering menu on the left by category could be useful if the above is not possible...

There is 2 important section parameters.

Records mode - allow you to select if you want to show only records of current category or from category node.

Show records at section home - allow you to set if you want to show all section records on the section root.

You are right. There is no obvious CATEGORY filter on the J! sidebar. Don´t know why, maybe a technical reason. (Sergey?)

But you can filter by category! Just click the Category name in the article list. It will activate and add the filter to the search. It shoes up as an appended button on the right side of the seach/filter. Maybe this append button should have a stronger color?! (bootstrap style warning/danger)
