How can I stop the renaming of files uploaded with "Cobalt - Field - Uploads"?

Title is self-explaining. All files are uploaded in a subfolder and there the extension creates a date-based folder. Then it renames the original file. How I prevent the upload-extension from doing so? It is essential for me that all files will have the original file names.

When downloading the files will get back the original file name under which they where uploaded, so you will not loose your name.

The "renaming" has several good reasons, like it allows the same "filename" stored several times in the same folder.

I wish it was, but I got the following filename from a file which was named different:

1340946000_361382f0b520ca8fbbddb4b136569253

Please set the parameter "Download link open" to "Force download window despite file extension". Then the file will be downloaded under the original filename.

Just found out that "Force download window despite file extension" does only support files to a specific size. Files around 30 MByte and are just 1 KByte after having downloaded them. The problem doesn't occur if the original file is below approximately 30 MByte. Any ideas on this? I tried several configurations of the "upload"-field. If I choose "Open file in browser" for example everything works fine, even with bigger files. Problem seems to having been there from the beginning.
