Please contact them. May be they will consider to make it because there are not many extensions for Joomla 3.0 and they may consider to support cobalt. Tell them also link to article about Cobalt SEF.

The developers of the component take care of dedicated sh404SEF plugins (like redcomponent and K2 do for example), since they are most familiar with the URL types and functionality of their extensions they are able to provide better suited integration through a simple sh404SEF plugin then we would able to provide for a large number of extensions.

We also provide functionality to allow almost any component to work with sh404SEF http://anything-digital.com/sh404sef/faqs/are-all-components-compatible-with-sh404sef.html which in addition allows for the use of other SEF component plugins if required.
