Welcome to the world of Cobalt! ;)

Hello Marvin, please check your section and type parameters twice. At least those, where you relate them with each other... for instance did you select the type which is allowed to submit to your section. Also check target MenuItem parameters.

One important detail I remember:

Check Section -> General Parameters -> Templates -> Record list
Choose the template for your frontend list.
Make sure to click the small edit button (gear icon).
This will open a modal window, where you can change the template's appearance. (keep defaults for now)
Just SAVE the template settings once.
Save section.

Try frontend display again...

PS: Cobalt is template driven in many locations. A fresh Cobalt install, or a newly added template does not have any settings to work with. Make always sure to edit/save your Cobalt templates... this will create the respective configuration file.

marvinbrewer now not showing section id error anymore

Cool, glad I could help you out ;)

Error Captcha plugin not set or not found. Please contact a site administrator.

Ah yes, good point and find!

This is just a matter of configuration.
More or less a "logical" issue for a fresh default installation.

Background

  • Cobalt Global configuration has a Captcha parameter. By default it is None Selected.
  • The default Type parameters allow public submissions.
  • The default submission template has a parameter to show/hide the Captcha for public users.

In other words, you didn't choose and configure a Captcha solution, but your submission template wants to display one. This results in the mentioned error message.

Solution

  • Either setup and configure the Captcha,
  • or change submission parameters. i.e. Allow for Registered, Or hide Captcha in Submission template parameters.

PS: @Sergey Those defaults should get a small adjustment. At least some hints in the quickstart guide.

Actually, you should have NO issues, because you are using the J! Protostar template.

But there are 3 script errors on your site. (check browser console)
Maybe an issue with another module/external service?
Can you disable/remove the other stuff on Cobalt submission MenuItem?

(PS: Have to leave now, pretty late in germany! See/hear you tommorow.)

You allow public user to submit but you also set allow user categories. Now form expects user category but it is not possible because there is no user. Disallow user categories in section personalisation.

In the next version I fix this error. Right now simply turn off personalization in section parameters.
