I looked at the forum but could not see the answer. Could you advise if paypal chained payments is supported?

If you mean recurring payments, then yes.

I am more referring to paypal adaptive payment to allow for 1 sender and multiple receiver ( https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/adaptive-payments/gs_AdaptivePayments/#overview ).

Ther is no adadptive payment support in Emerald. Because it is not multiple vendor.
