In case you didnt knew, seams that Easysocial got some changes with the 1.2.14 relase, they have merged all their lang files into 1 file ( 1 for frontend and 1 for backend ) to improve the load performance.
After this change the cobalt apps now seams to be missing the lang strings, you may want to discuss with Mark how devs should now do the lang files for the apps
