Checkbox error with v8.522

I am getting a fatal error when opening a section after installing the latest update v8.522 (Checkbox v8.63)

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JFormFieldCStatus::_getVal() in /home/teamlmi/public_html/components/com_cobalt/fields/status/tmpl/filter/checkboxes.php on line 21
