Multiselect Field not expanding

I am using multiselect field but the Maximum field height and width in General Parameters is not working.

The entry form is shown like this

Am I doing anything wrong?

No you don't. It is Joomla core UI CSS that affect this like this. It has been reported long ago by number of people. I even committed fix to Joomla github repository. But it looks that it is not considered to be significant thus it is still not fixed.
