Deprecated Function - crucial? - Emerald 8

Since I did a quick error logging for latest Cobalt release... I noticed the following line for Emerald's Component restriction plugin:

Deprecated:

Function ereg_replace() is deprecated in /.../htdocs/MyJoomla/plugins/system/emcomponent/emcomponent.php on line 71

Important?

Server is running on PHP5.3, latest Joomla 2.5.4

Still the same messge in Emerald package v.1.0.1

(about info in backend shows 1.0 build 7864)

Today we ll try to release version 1.0.2 that have rights files of Emerald`s plugin. They should be 1.0.1 The current version 1.0 has issues like you described.
