Still no thoughts after fresh read.

pepperstreet * use NoNumber ArticlesAnywhere plugin in description field * use a 3rdparty module, which allows to add and edit a J! core article (requires module position above main content, and module assignment in backend)

Which leads me too a second idea:

An option in section/category parameters, that allows to select a certain J! or Cobalt article as description. Or better do this on template level? Then editing is possible, but not really in-place.

Another similar idea raised in my mind. J!3.3+ is going to get frontend editing for modules... (currently only by re-direct to backend module manager). But if Custom HTML module gets edit-in-place, it would be nice to load a module/moduleposition on top of the section. In other words, add a parameter to markup-template, where you can select a certain module/position.

Maybe a good idea in general to have optional module-positions in all Cobalt default layouts!?! = great flexibility, modules in Cobalt context with no need for J! module manager and Menu-Item assignments.

• Cobalt templates with optional, special module-positions. i.e.: cobaltSecName, cobaltPos1, cobaltPos2, cobaltSecHead, cobaltArticleHead, cobaltArticleBottom, cobArticleFooter, cobArtLeft, cobaltArtRight
  (Comparable to JomSocial templates, which also provide special positions)

• Use Cases e.g. frontend editing of section header/description, Ads/Banner display

• Display Cobalt modules in Article full-view context, without need for main template positions and J! module manager. i.e. records module and related content.

I think it might be good advansement for Cobalt 9 :)
