I found a lot of child records without a record_id.

This happens related to this bug : http://support.mintjoomla.com/en/cobalt-7/questions/Record +problem+in+Cobalt+7.8533-2035.html

I have now already ~500 non assigned records

This is a serious bug since it creates an unstable environment.

It seems they are double created .. first Cobalt creates one without record_id, then another with the correct record_id, but does not delete the first created ..

still investigating the issue

I could not find a reason. There is only one place where it could happen. I added there some code. I will keep this issue open until you check and confirm.
