Login failed after joomla session expire

could it be that you have a redirect plugin some place like jomsocial registration? I have an issue where when a user get to a resource restricted by emerald it shows a login that wont work " /index.php/membership?view=login&return=..... "then it sends the user to register a new account. I have joomla registrations redirected to Jomsocial and think I need emerald to do the same ???? or just remove the login component from that error view or page and change the message to read, please use the login ontop of the page??? I may also add that I use SPlogin
Marcel I would try and logout then use the joomla login or jomsocial/some other login that you may have. (I am sorry I am just a faithful MightyMember-Emerald user from the past trying to offer peer assistance while posting for my resolve) Greg California USA

Agree with Greg.

Most probably some caching problem of login extension. Turn Joomla cache off.

I updated my site to php 7 and have this issue again. I cant seem to get around it. after testing it may be that something stops any login attempt after a Emerald protected resource is attempted without signing in first?

1. I have JomSocial set for registration
2. recently added Akeeba pro tool
3. updated to latest php7.1
4. Other login module for at bottom is normal joomla mod
5. template is Joomlashack impacto
6. had this problem in other php but did not understand
7. admin/system/global config/system cashe handler=file, path=empty, casche time=15, platformspecific=no,System Cache=OFF-Caching Disabled

Try to install latest 9.447. I have changed there something about login.

Sergey, Thanks for the prompt fix. I was able to update to the latest Emerald 10 and all is well. At some point I moved over to Emerals 10 after it went out of Bata and that is when this issue started Greg
